  • Copiapoa carrizalensis F.Ritter: Forms huge mounds more than 1,80 m across composed of hundreds of individual, closely packed heads with dense needle-like black spines.
  • Copiapoa dealbata F.Ritter: Stems are silver-gray usually with long spines singly on the areoles. It forms large clumps in habitat.
  • Copiapoa dealbata f. cristata
  • Copiapoa dealbata f. gigantea (F.Ritter) A.E.Hoffm.: Large stemmed form.
  • Copiapoa malletiana (Lem. ex Salm-Dyck) Backeb. in Backeb. & F.M.Knuth: Plants strongly branched basally, forming dense clumps to 1m high and more than 2 m wide. Spines black, straight, stiff, needle-like. Central spine 0-1. Radial spines 1-7.
