Description: Copiapoa intricataSN|9803]]SN|9803]] is a doubtful species based on Echinocactus intricatusSN|9805]]SN|9804]] SalmDyck

(Echinocactus intricatusSN|9804]]SN|9804]] SalmDyck (Allg. Gartenz. 13: 387. 1845) is a homonym which no student has been able to identify. The original description is poorly characterized, the flowers, fruit and origin are unknown so that no one has been able to identify it certainly. To it the name Echinocactus criocerusSN|9804]]SN|9805]] Lemaire (Labouret, Monogr. Cact. 178. 1853) has been referred.)
