Subspecies, varieties, forms and cultivars of plants belonging to the Mammillaria aureilanata group

  • Mammillaria aureilanata Backeb.: Forms a tiny ball with soft white or golden hairs and cream-white to pink flowers. Spines: Only radials 25 - 30, bristly, flexible hair-like transparent white to yellowish.
  • Mammillaria aureilanata f. alba (Backeb.) Krainz in Krainz: It has paler creamy flowers in winter while the standard Mammillaria aureilanata var. aureilanata has large pink flowers.
