Origin and Habitat: Cerro Bola, Coahuila, Mexico Northeast (Coahuila).
Altitude: 1700 m over sea level.
Habitat: It grows in stony slopes on limestone rich soil.
- Epithelantha petri Halda & Horáček
Description: It is a small cactus related and similar to Epithelantha micromeris, but it has more cylindrical stem, yellowish-brown spines and yellow flowers.
Stem: Cylindrical, elongated up to 80 mm height.
Root: It has a thin taproot about 50 mm long.
Spines: Short, needle-like, yellowish-brown.
Seeds: A little larger than those of Epithelantha micromeris.
